Stainless Steel Frame Wire Spool

Natural wax foundation is soft on its own — this 26-gauge stainless steel wire runs horizontally through the frame to keep it straight and stable through inspections and extraction. It's most commonly used on deep brood frames, where the extra support matters most.

How It's Used

Run the wire horizontally through the pre-drilled holes in the frame's end bars, then embed it into the wax foundation using a spur embedder, crimper and eyelets, or an electric embedder that heats the wire slightly so it settles into the wax.
