10-Frame Cypress Metal Capped Telescoping Cover

The telescoping cover sits on top of the hive year-round and takes the brunt of the weather — sun, rain, and everything in between. This 10-frame cypress cover overhangs the sides slightly (that's the "telescoping" part) and wears a metal cap on top, so water sheds off instead of soaking into the wood.

Telescoping vs. Migratory Covers

We carry both styles. Telescoping covers give better weather protection since they overhang the box — go with this one for stationary hives. If you move hives between yards, a migratory cover stacks flush and tighter for transport, at the cost of some weather protection.
