This jacket exists because we used the competition's gear ourselves and got tired of the gaps — zippers that snag, veils that fog up, pockets in the wrong place. We talked to hobbyists, commercial beekeepers, and everyone in between to figure out what was actually missing, then built this jacket around those answers.
Why Beekeepers Like This Jacket
-
Extended Torso Design: No more jackets riding up mid-inspection. Full coverage stays put no matter how much you bend or reach.
-
Pullover or Zip-Up: The wide neck lets you pull it on and off like a hoodie, even fully zipped — or zip it traditionally if you prefer.
-
Two Color Options: Beekeeper White or Olive Green — Olive Green is what we wear ourselves since it doesn't show dirt.
-
Triple-Layer Ventilated Fabric: Breathable enough to wear with nothing underneath, sting-proof enough that it doesn't matter.
-
Overlapping Neck Zipper: Double-layer security right where bees are most likely to find a gap.
-
Removable, Collapsible Veil: Opens at the front for water, food, or just some fresh air — interchangeable with our round veil, both fully compatible.
-
Italian Mesh: Clear visibility for spotting eggs and larvae, without sacrificing durability.
-
Durable YKK Zippers: Heavy-duty, snag-free, with oversized pull rings — plastic YKK holds up better than metal for beekeeping use.
-
Multiple Pockets: Velcro and zippered options for tools, phone, or snacks — including hidden magnet pockets under the chest pocket for holding a hive tool in place.
-
Elastic and Velcro Cuffs: Double-wide elastic plus a velcro strap for a secure, adjustable seal.
-
Reinforced Elbows: Extra durability where jackets wear out first.
-
Machine Washable: Unzip the veil, wash the jacket on delicate, air dry.
