3' x 5' polyester Brazil Flag with two grommets, double-stitched top and bottom edges, and a triple-stitched fly edge to reduce fraying.

✍️ The Design: Originally designed by Raimundo Teixeira Mendes alongside Miguel Lemos, Manuel Pereira Reis, and Décio Villares, Brazil's flag was officially adopted on November 19, 1889, four days after the country declared itself a republic. The design features a green field centered with a bright yellow rhombus (or diamond), framing a night-blue celestial globe crossed by a white band reading the national motto, "Ordem e Progresso" (Order and Progress).

The iconic colors and central symbols bridge Brazil's imperial history with its modern national vision:

🟩 The green background represents the lush Amazon rainforests and carries historical origins as the color of the Royal House of Braganza.

🟨 The yellow diamond symbolizes the country's immense wealth, particularly its abundant gold reserves, originating from the House of Habsburg.

🔵 The central blue globe and white band display 27 white five-pointed stars, representing the 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District.

Flag Nerd Fact: the stars are arranged precisely as they appeared in the night sky over Rio de Janeiro on November 15, 1889...the day Brazil became a republic! They depict prominent Southern Hemisphere constellations like the Southern Cross, rendered from a celestial perspective (as if viewed from outside the starry sphere looking in).
