48 mm White Plastic Lids with Pressure Seal

The 48mm White Plastic Lid with Pressure Seal is the plastic alternative to the 48mm Metal Jar Lid. Same thread, same jar compatibility, different material. A foam liner pressed into the interior compresses against the jar rim when the lid is tightened — no heating required. It seals cleanly for cold honey bottling without any additional equipment or process.

The trade-off vs. the metal lid: plastic is not rated for water bath canning temperatures. If you're processing honey or preserves with heat, use the metal lid. For standard cold honey bottling, either works equally well. The plastic lid is lighter, and the white finish can work better against some label designs.

• 8 oz Glass Queenline Honey Jars
• 1/4 Pint (4¼ oz) Glass Jars

Does Not Work With

• 16 oz and 32 oz Classic Glass Jars — those use 63mm lids
• 58mm jars (Paragon, Skep, Bear) — those use 58mm lids
• 43mm jars (1.5 oz sample) — those use 43mm lids

Note: Not suitable for water bath canning. Use the 48mm Metal Jar Lid for any heated processing.
